Project Description

CAP – Citizen’s for Animal Protection

Citizens For Animal Protection, founded in 1972, is committed to sheltering, rescuing and placing homeless animals in loving homes; advocating respect and compassion for all animal life; providing humane education to prevent animal cruelty; and raising awareness in the community of the needs of animals.

To fulfill their mission, CAP has developed and established many successful programs and services to enhance the lives of pets and people in the Greater Houston Area and surrounding counties. Some of these programs are unique in Houston, such as our Weekend Sponsor Program and our Feral Cat Assistance Program (FCAP).

CAP  offers group volunteering where all participants must be at least 16 years old. For general volunteering, anyone who is 14 to 15 yrs. old must have a parent/legal guardian that are required to become volunteers as well.
